Thanksgiving kicks off the festivities with a series of unique programs that transform the holiday into a coastal celebration. At Mar del Cabo, guests are also invited to test their creativity in a seaside pumpkin carving contest while the family-friendly Grand Velas properties offer a wide range of family-friendly activities including bungee trampolines, glamping, foam parties, artisan crafts, pumpkin contests, art workshops, water games, karaoke nights, and family movie nights under the stars. Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos highlights the day with a festive brunch featuring sparkling autumn cocktails, a bourbon-themed mixology class, and option for a four-course dinner at Loto restaurant or private family-style dining under the stars on Luna Terrace. Christmas & Hannukah

As December unfolds, dazzling Christmas tree lightings officially mark the start of the season at each of the resorts.  Traditional Mexican décor and handcrafted details adorn the public spaces of the resorts while guests can also celebrate with their own in-suite Christmas trees, pre-decorated or with ornaments to decorate together. Additionally, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit transforms its Ocean Garden into Magic Ville, a whimsical North Pole-themed seaside village complete with a carousel, Santa's cottage, festive picnics, and live shows starring beloved characters. New Year's

New Year's Eve is celebrated in grand style across the collection with elegant dinners, live music, fireworks, and champagne toast. At Mar del Cabo, casino games also afford the chance to win a three-night Penthouse stay. At Grand Velas Los Cabos, themed dinners such as Fire & Smoke and Kermesse Mexicana, a traditional Mexican festival celebrated with many food stalls, games and activities, are on tap. Guests can ring in the New Year in style at Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos with the dazzling "Luminus" Celebration. The evening begins with festive cocktails, live music, and a lively photo-worthy atmosphere in the lobby before guests are treated to a five-course gala dinner accompanied by a live band. As midnight approaches, the party moves to Bar 51 for a DJ set and signature martini menu, while the Sol terrace opens with a champagne bar and fireworks for an unforgettable countdown. At Grand Velas Riviera Maya, the large-scale celebration includes a magician, and other family programming from early evening through midnight.
