An Ultra-Private Offering Pairs Personalized Astrology-Driven Dining With Stargazing — Timed to The Most Significant Celestial Events of 2026

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (May 7, 2026) - Velas Resorts announces a new proposal experience built around the night sky. The offering connects a couple's personal story with the movements of the cosmos, staged on a secluded rooftop or beach enclave at one of the star-studded Velas Resort properties along Mexico's Pacific or Caribbean coastlines.  Each location is selected for its minimal light pollution, unobstructed sky access, and capacity for complete guest privacy. 

At the center of the celestial experience is a multi-course tasting menu designed around the couple's astrological signs — an approach that treats personal identity as an ingredient essential to the plate. Starter and main courses are tailored to each sign's elemental grouping. For example, Earth signs receive root-based and smoked preparations, emphasizing texture and depth, and Water signs are presented with deep-sea ingredients and fluid, layered compositions that reflect the movement and mystery of their element. The menu concludes with the Nebula Finale — a dessert course built on molecular gastronomy techniques. Edible gold dust, dark chocolate spheres, and precisely deployed dry ice combine to recreate a nebula on the plate: a visual statement as much as a culinary one, and an intentional metaphor for the evening ahead.

Following dinner, a professional astronomer joins the couple for a private session designed around the evening's specific celestial conditions. The session is not a generic sky tour. It is scripted around the couple's story. For The Deep Space Proposal, the astronomer guides the partner to a high-powered telescope focused on a specific planet or constellation, positioning the moment of discovery to coincide precisely with the proposal itself. The night sky becomes the backdrop; the telescope becomes the reveal. 

In commemoration, all couples receive The Star Alignment Map as a take-home amenity — a bespoke, high-quality archival print depicting the exact configuration of stars over the Velas property at the precise moment of their answer. The map is produced following the event and delivered to the couple before departure.
