Velas Resorts Appoints Susan Hinfey as Senior Regional Sales Director – Northeast
Luxury Hospitality Veteran Joins Velas Resorts' Meetings & Incentives Leadership Team
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (August 3, 2026) - Velas Resorts, renowned for its award-winning collection of luxury properties in Mexico, is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Hinfey as Senior Regional Sales Director for the Meetings & Incentives division in the United States. Hinfey, who is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, will take on sales leadership for the Northeast region, deepening the company's ties with meeting professionals, incentive planners, corporate clients and strategic partners in this key market.
Hinfey arrives with more than two decades in luxury hospitality sales, having built a career on securing group business, cultivating high-value client partnerships and delivering revenue results for some of the industry's leading brands. Her path began at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she went on to take a Global Sales position for the hotel brand. She joins Velas Resorts most recently from Auberge Resorts Collection, where she worked with luxury meetings, incentives and group business while forging partnerships across major markets.
