New Offering Combines Romance, Wellness, and Wedding Planning to Make Traditional Site Visit A Memorable Experience Itself

The new program elevates the traditional wedding venue visit into an immersive romantic celebration, allowing couples to experience their wedding destination 365 days before their big day. The experience addresses a growing trend among engaged couples who are increasingly seeking meaningful ways to celebrate milestones during longer engagement periods. Rather than a standard site inspection, Velas Resorts has reimagined the pre-wedding visit as an ultra-luxury romantic pilgrimage that ensures couples experience the resort's seasonal ambiance, climate, and flora precisely as it will appear on their wedding day.

As part of the offering, couples receive an exclusive one-hour professional photoshoot at the resort's most stunning locations, from oceanfront gazebos to tropical gardens. The session includes pre-shoot hair and makeup services at the resort's Bridal Beauty Salon, ensuring editorial-quality images perfect for save-the-date announcements and wedding websites.

Culinary exploration also takes center stage with a private tasting session led by Velas Resorts' award-winning Executive Chefs. The experience focuses on seasonal ingredients that will be available on the couple's actual wedding date, paired with a personalized workshop with the resort's master sommelier to curate signature cocktails and mocktails for their celebration.

When it comes to wellness, a couples' spa treatment  symbolizing the union of two paths beginning their final year-long journey toward marriage is included. At SE Spa at the Grand Velas resorts and Abja Spa at Casa Velas, the spa ritual also includes a signature Water Ceremony guided by a personal spa valet.

Location scouting receives the Velas Resorts' treatment as well with a private sunset tour of the property's wedding venues, concluding with an intimate dinner at the couple's chosen ceremony or reception site. Upon returning to their suite, couples discover a surprise amenity, such as embroidered robes featuring their future married name or a hand-crafted chocolate sculpture reflecting their wedding theme.

The experience culminates with an in-depth planning session with Velas Wedding Experts, who guide couples through every detail of wedding planning onsite from linen selections to lighting designs.
