Velas Resorts are once again offering an extensive lineup of Christmas and New Year's Eve festivities this year at their award-winning properties in Los Cabos, Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit, and Puerto Vallarta. From an extravagant helicopter arrival from Santa Claus himself to insuite Christmas trees, traditional celebrations are enhanced with Mexican culture for awe-inspiring experiences and deluxe amenities for every traveler to enjoy this holiday season. On Christmas Day, guests of Grand Velas Los Cabos will meet Santa Claus after his grand arrival via helicopter. Sandcastle competitions, cooking classes, sand bikes, an aromatherapy Spa Atelier workshop, and private stargazing are just a few of the other activities guests can experience while at the AAA Five Diamond resort in Baja California.
At Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, Santa will meet and greet guests on the resort's white sand beach. 50% off nightly rates for kids, Santa's Workshop, themed nightly shows, magic picnics, and land and water fitness amenities are also being offered.

At Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, children can learn how to make colorful alebrijes, Mexican art sculptures dating back to the 1930s. Additionally, the resort's littlest guests will enjoy new services and inclusions such as the Glam Baby Chairs, pampering spa treatments, and an upgraded gourmet menu with fresh ingredients.
In addition to a lineup of entertaining activities, Velas Vallarta's guests can opt to purchase a nativity scene insuite.
At all the resorts, guests looking to host festivities privately can opt for a Christmas tree insuite, pre-decorated or with ornaments to adorn the tree with oneself, and gift-wrapped toys for children of all ages. Additionally, one looking to give back this holiday season can donate toys online to the Center for the Caring of Children with Cancer, a non-profit institution dedicated to serving children and teenagers with cancer.
Velas Resorts have received the global safety stamp of approval from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) due to its state-of-the-art safety and cleanliness protocols detailed in a 15-page Stay Safe with Velas program. Frequent health and temperature checks for both guests and staff, sanitizing mats and booths, touchless hand sanitizing dispensers, increased cleaning and sanitation with EPA-chemicals, and special COVID-19 training for staff are examples of protocols being implemented by the resort collection. Rates start at $189 at Velas Vallarta, $329 at Casa Velas, $561 USD at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, $593 at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, and $742 at Grand Velas Los Cabos. Rates are per adult per night based on double occupancy. Kids (ages 4-12) are $120 per night and teens (ages 13-15) are $200 per night at the Grand Velas resorts, without the promotion applied at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Rates for kids (ages 4-12) and teens (ages 13 - 17) are $72 and $95 respectively per night at Velas Vallarta. All-inclusive rates include luxury suite accommodations, a la carte gourmet meals at a variety of specialty restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, fitness center, taxes, gratuity and more.
