Luxury Resort Celebrates Mexico's Rich Culinary Heritage Through an Immersive Tepache & Traditions Experience 

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (October 30, 2026) - The AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit celebrates one of Mexico's most time-honored street-side refreshments with the debut of Tepache & Traditions, a new experiential offering focused on tepache, a naturally fermented pineapple beverage with deep roots in Mexican culinary culture. Developed in partnership with local producer Tepache Sazón, the experience transforms this traditional favorite into a contemporary poolside indulgence, blending authentic Mexican flavors with the resort's signature approach to elevated guest experiences. The concept was inspired by the enthusiastic response to Tepache Sazón's collaboration with one of the World's Best Bars Licorería Limantour during the resort's recent Mexology Fest, an annual celebration of Mexican spirits, craft cocktails and contemporary mixology featuring internationally recognized bartenders. Building on that momentum, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is extending the spotlight on tepache beyond the festival, introducing guests to the beverage through seasonal poolside pop-ups and a dedicated mixology program. 

Guests are invited to savor an enhanced poolside experience that celebrates Mexico's rich culinary heritage. The exclusive pop-up brings an elevated touch to a celebrated traditional refreshment, presenting vibrant tepache flavors, including pineapple and guava. Served in seasonal, handcrafted cocktails inside hollowed-out fresh pineapples or paired with artisanal fresh-fruit ice pops, each offering adds a unique touch to the poolside experience. 

The experience also extends to the resort's beverage program, with two new signature cocktails featuring house-fermented pineapple tepache available poolside and at Koi Bar. By incorporating this traditional beverage into contemporary mixology, the resort offers a fresh perspective on Mexico's rich drinking culture while highlighting the craftsmanship of local producers.
