New Wellness Offerings Range from Therapeutic Massages and Breathwork Rituals to Physical Recovery Technology and Tailored Nutrition 

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (September 21, 2026) - Velas Resorts in Mexico announces a new collection of sleep-focused experiences designed to help regulate guests' circadian rhythm, reduce stress hormones, and physically prepare the body for deep, restorative rest. With only about 45% to 55% of adults consistently waking up feeling well-rested (CDC), getting enough sleep and getting truly restorative sleep are two very different things. As travelers increasingly look beyond just the bed for meaningful ways to reset, Velas Resorts puts sleep at the center of the wellness experience. Available at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Grand Velas Los Cabos, and Grand Boutique Los Cabos, each offering reflects the destination and personality of its property while sharing a common intention: to give guests the best sleep possible. 

Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos

Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos seamlessly weaves sleep into the resort's wellness infrastructure, offering everything from insuite amenities to menus to private spa treatments, all tailor-made with the intention of helping guests unwind and regulate their rest. Services offered include the Pillows & Signature Aromatherapy Menu, a digital menu offering pillow selections along with an in-suite diffuser and an exclusive pillow mist; a relaxing eye massager mask; a white noise machine featuring the Sea of Cortez waves; dimming/circadian lighting; a "lockbox" to store guests' phones before sleep to avoid blue light exposure; a turndown service where a Mexican lemon balm, orange blossom, and chamomile tea is delivered to the suite one hour before bedtime; and a sleep guide to follow specific steps during their stay to enhance sleep quality. A menu specifically designed by executive chef Carlos Rayas and endorsed by nutritionists to promote natural melatonin and serotonin production is available insuite and Loto Restaurant. Available guided experiences include a private sound bath, where a spa therapist comes to the suite 45 minutes before sleep to lead a brief session with desert/quartz singing bowls and aromatherapy, and a Warm Oil Head & Scalp Massage, a 30-minute express service performed directly on the suite bed or lounge chair. The guided experiences start from $140 USD per person. 

Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Grand Velas Riviera Maya is expanding its wellness offerings with a focus on sleep, nervous-system balance and physical recovery, including its signature Sleep Well ritual and Ultimate Biohacking collection, designed to optimize rest and support the body's natural recovery. The Ultimate Biohacking collection pairs treatments such as the Sensory Deprivation Tank Experience and FIR Therapy Mat Massage to promote deep relaxation, reduce physical tension and encourage restorative sleep. Complementing these offerings are the immersive Nik Te Ha - Janzu Experience (80 min / $440), a water-based massage that uses the relaxing properties of water to release stored stress and tension, and Neuroaromatherapy Massage (50 min / $319), which leverages the connection between the brain and sense of smell to encourage a deeper state of relaxation. Additional treatments include the Hindu Foot and Scalp Massage (50 min / $319), which uses targeted acupoint stimulation to promote circulation and relaxation, and Sounds from the Soul (80 min / $440), a guided sound-healing experience designed to quiet the mind and encourage deep rest. Grand Velas Los Cabos

The new Wellness Sleep Sunset Vitality at Grand Velas Los Cabos is 40 minutes of bliss, where physical recovery technology combines with cellular nutrition to maximize restoration and relaxation, in time with the sunset. The opening ritual begins with a foot soak in a ceramic tub, using organic salt crystals from Mexico's Guerrero Negro region and white sage essential oils, meant to release accumulated tension and purify guests' energy. Then, three layers of simultaneous therapy are activated during a mechanical lymphatic drainage, where compression boots perform a rhythmic upward massage; Infrared Visual Rest, where a red light mask relaxes the facial muscles; and the Damiana and Coconut Scalp Massage, a deep scalp massage using a balm infused with local Damiana plant. The closing element, the Sleep Descent Ritual, transitions into a guided breathwork and body scan meditation, designed to shift brainwaves into a pre-sleep state, while  subtle lavender and palo santo mist is applied, anchoring the senses in calm. Guests also receive a "Sleep Kit" to continue the ritual in their suite, complete with an herbal nighttime tea blend and an aromatherapy pillow mist. The Wellness Sleep Sunset Vitality experience starts from $699 USD per couple and will be available through November 2026.

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has introduced a new experience, the Sleep Suite: Rest & Renewal.  Promoting healthy and restorative sleep, the optional add-on includes soothing aromatherapy, herbal infusions, special turn-downs, and guided rituals. A standout feature is the Sleep Mask Bar, providing a selection of masks with different textures paired alongside scents like lavender, chamomile, or eucalyptus to best suit evening routines. The experience also includes a pillow menu and participation in soothing aromatherapy sessions. A sunrise lamp with soundscape features ensures a refreshing wakeup, and guests can opt for a weighted blanket or silk throw for extra comfort at night. Each night features a Turn-Down with Intention service, where upon returning to their suite, guests will find bedside affirmation cards or journal prompts, instrumental sounds, cooling eye gel pads, or an herbal tea with local honey. Guests can also indulge in an elevated bath with a calming bath bomb. A highlight of the comprehensive experience is one-on-one guided wind-down rituals with a spa therapist, with sessions led during the day so techniques can be practiced at night. Session offerings include breathing exercises, stretch and restore techniques, and optional sound healing with crystal bowls. Guests will also take a piece of their journey home with a departure gift: a personalized note and hotel monogrammed sleep mask. The Sleep Suite: Rest & Renewal add-on experience starts at $600 USD per stay for two adults. A minimum three night stay is required.
