New Traditional Mexican Candy Cooking Class for Kids to Start at Grand Velas Los Cabos
New Workshop Invites Kids to Make Their Own Mexican Sweet Treats
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (September 11, 2024) - Grand Velas Los Cabos expands their offerings for the littlest of travelers with a new traditional Mexican pastry and candy workshop for kids. In a fun and interactive setting, budding young chefs will don their aprons and roll up their sleeves as a chef teaches them how to prepare an array of classic treats like paletas (fresh fruit popsicles), cocadas (traditional Latin American coconut confections), Obleas (colorful sugar wafers) and Palanquetas (sweet and crunchy treats made with peanuts and caramel). These sweet creations are not only delicious but also offer a cultural lesson, connecting young guests with Mexico's rich culinary heritage. These educational classes create lasting memories and introduce children to food and cultural tradition beyond their own. Children will leave with a sense of accomplishment, appreciation for another culture, and a collection of recipes to try at home.
The Mexican Pastry and Candy workshop will be available and complimentary to guests starting in October- a perfect treat for upcoming holiday and spring break trips. The new experience is part of the weekly activity schedule on a rotating basis. Guests can check availability or arrange a private session for groups of up to eight by contacting the hotel concierge. Nightly rates at the all-inclusive resort start at $826 per person per night in double occupancy. Gourmet meals, 24-hour in-suite service, nightly entertainment, access to the Kids' and Teens' clubs, family friendly activities and entertainment, taxes, gratuity, and more are included in the resort's nightly rate.
